Online Book Deals sells books across a genuinely unusual mix of categories, technical reference codes like NFPA and ICC used by fire safety and building professionals, clinical manuals like the DSM used by mental health practitioners, alongside comics and popular fiction box sets. That combination doesn't fit a typical bookstore template. Professional buyers looking for a specific code edition and a reader browsing manga box sets have completely different expectations of a site.

Project Scope

Marketing Rockers designed and built the complete Shopify store for Online Book Deals, end to end. The brief was to organise a genuinely wide product catalogue, technical codes, clinical manuals, comics, and novels, into a store that felt coherent rather than like four different shops stitched together, while still making it fast for a professional buyer to find the exact edition they need.

Challenges Faced

The real challenge was category coherence. Fire safety code manuals, clinical DSM references, and manga box sets don't naturally belong on the same homepage, and a generic Shopify template would have made the store feel unfocused. We had to design category-specific sections that each felt purpose-built, while keeping one consistent, trustworthy shopping experience underneath it all, checkout, trust badges, and navigation that work the same way no matter which category a visitor lands on.
